About Work:
You will work individually and helps out to migrate the existing JAVA applications from the old backend server operating system to the latest operating system. Part of this candidate might require fixing or modifying the existing application code.
Required Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of Java, J2EE
Working experience with Apache Tomcat and similar servers.
Experience working with MySQL (RDBMS) or Couchbase NoSQL DB.
Writing APIs using REST/JSON.
Familiarity with messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ is a plus.
Familiarity with writing JUnit and Automation test cases
Working knowledge on debugging problems using relevant tools.
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly concisely both verbally and in writing
Ability to collaboratively work through technical issues in a professional manner, making design considerations and trade-offs as needed
Thrive in and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Design and develop systems which are highly available and scalable server applications in a Cloud native environment.
Work with an Agile team using CI/CD best practices to deliver the highest quality software possible quickly
A strong desire to learn new things and continually improve yourself and those around you with a “can do anything” mentality
Experiment, test, fail fast, and learn as you go, not shy away from addressing production issues and setup monitoring / alerts.
Collaborate with team members and business partners for problem solving, bug fixes, new feature implementations, work planning and code demonstrations
Collaborate with other teams to coordinate changes to shared interfaces
Collaborate with team and leaders to develop optimal technical solutions that the balance capabilities of third-party vendors, business requirements, and the team's internal goals for technical excellence
Adhere to team standards for writing and documenting code
